Moving & Handling

One of our most popular courses, this is run as a full-day course. We cover anatomy & physiology, legislation, policy and responsibilities, risk assessment, ergonomics and person-handling plans.

We also discuss personal safety, principles of safe moving, communication, teamwork, how to be person-centred and recording.

There is also a practical element to this course, where you will learn to use the hoist and slide sheets, we will teach how to assist in getting up. We end the course with a written test.
